The original Pogacha began in 1986 as the creation of Helen Brocard, a daughter of Croatian parents, whose knowledge and understanding of food began at her parents' Vashon Island farm, producing what is well known today as Pogacha Restaurant. In 1996 Pogacha Restaurant was bought by Brad & Lisa Cassidy, natives of the Seattle area, who fell in love with the concept of delicious food prepared simply and freshly with care.
In 2003 Brad & Lisa opened the 3rd Pogacha concept in the form of Cafe Pogacha. Utilizing the same philosophy, they adapted the concept to a Cafe venue with both dine-in and take-out options. The same delicious Pogacha bread is still hand-formed and baked in the applewood fired oven to produce the sandwich bread and smaller Pogacha "pizzas" and the entire menu is still prepared fresh and simple. Additionally at Cafe Pogacha breakfast is available as well as espresso.
On behalf of Cafe Pogacha we wlecome you. Zivio!
